FBU Region 6 have 3133 members in five different brigades.

Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. There are 149 work place branches with 84 wholetime stations and 60 retained stations.

The membership are represented at national level by the Executive Council Member for this region, Dave Green who was re-elected into post in October 2007 unopposed. Working with the EC member are the Regional Executive comprising the Regional Secretary, Regional Treasurer and Regional Chair and fourth Regional Official, they are responsible for the running of the Region.We believe the FBU is the only union that can represent all members of the fire service properly

As an FBU member you are covered by our legal services provided by Thompsons solicitors. There are a number of services which you can access free of charge these include personel injury claims for you and your family. Personel injury claims for family members include virtually any type of accident except injuries they sustain at work.
